Gentle Snark
There's this funny thing about empires: They fall. In less than a week, Seattle Art Museum's display of Roman art from the Louvre Museum will close, and all those amazing statues, busts, columns, mosaics, frescoes and decorative objects -- nearly 200 pieces in all -- will be packed up and moved to the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. It's strange, this inexplicable attraction Oklahoma seems to have for the things Seattle holds dear.

Being a city chicken's not so bad. You don't have to deal with overcrowding (only three chickens are allowed at most Seattle homes) or the pecking order of a farm (just the occasional Labrador or child to contend with), and most likely your hip urban owners (they may refer to themselves as your parents) are either too granola or too chicken (no offense) to kill and eat you.

Daily Find
Spring has a way of reinvigorating my senses. Cherry blossoms -- fluffs of vibrant pink that stand out against gray Seattle skies -- are a sight for sore eyes, and birdsong, which swells as the season unfolds, is music to my ears. Nature also provides plenty of sweet scents this time of year, but I find myself craving products that are not only fragrant, but that will leave my dry winter skin soft to the touch.
