My absolute favorite Seattle boutique Last Waltz is having a their first anniversary sale and party on friday, August 29. Owner Cybele Philips has the most incredible eye and blends vintage scores with modern designers to create a fresh and innovative style. I always walk out of that store with something - from a great pair of vintage shoes for $18 to a new top from Dace.

Starting on Oct. 1, the Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) is starting a pilot program allowing 30 grocery stores to have wine and beer tastings. Out of the 30 stores participating, 15 are independently owned and 15 are chain stores.
