If ever you've wanted to mix it up with the Rat City Rollergirls on a purely cerebral level -- you pervert -- you would be well-served to be at Goldies on Airport Way this Monday, Sept. 8, when the Derby Liberation Front holds their last trivia challenge of the season.

I have a nephew who is as smitten with the Seattle Seahawks as I was with the Sonics. So I was happy to learn that an assortment of 'Hawks players will sign autographs and pose for photos with fans on Tuesdays throughout the season. If you’re the parent of a transportation-obsessed toddler, preschooler or elementary-aged child, consider yourself lucky. The Puget Sound is a great place to raise a plane-crazy kid, because we’ve got the Museum of Flight. My toddler still talks about our trip to the museum, and we visited back in May.
