It seems like I've been writing an awful lot about urban nightlife in Pet Dish, and I don't mean the nocturnal habits of furry critters. When did loving dogs, cats, birds and fish become the secret to a busy social life? Well, that's a question for another day because right now I want to tell you about one more opportunity for animal-themed conviviality.
Tonight (Feb. 20) cubicle refugees can simultaneously drown their tyranical-boss woes in spirits and do animals a good turn. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the groovy McLeod Residence in Belltown, $2 from every drink goes to Progressive Animal Welfare Society (better known as PAWS).
This Cause for Drinks is one of a series of bi-monthly happy hours hosted by alldaybuffet in cities across the country including New York, San Francisco and Seattle. The idea is simple: Take the common and communal practice of after-work libations and funnel money from every drink to a charity, in this case the Lynnwood animal rescue and wildlife rehabilitation center.
Isn't it about time you put your drinking to good use?
