Wine and food in Woodinville? That's my kind of Monday
Purple showcases up and coming winemakers

No Monday blues for me this week. I'm quitting on the early side tomorrow to drive out to Woodinville's Purple Café & Wine Bar to get the week off to a rosier start.
Our local wine industry is so blazing hot right now, we've got a new winery opening in Washington state an average of every six days. Purple will host a tasting with four of the area's brightest rising stars: Woodinville standouts Darby Winery and Efeste Wine Cellars; O'Shea Scarborough Winery, which got its start in a Queen Anne garage; and Steppe Cellars, a Yakima Valley winery specializing in German varietals.
The food and wine will flow from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost is $50 and reservations can be made at 206-838-3853.
