Krispy Kreme's Valentine's Day doughnut

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme's Valentine's Day doughnut is drizzled with white icing and topped with red and pink sprinkles.

While Seattle's own Top Pot may be the reigning doughnut shop in town, national chain Krispy Kreme has a cultlike following around the world (there are even Krispy Kreme locations in Kuwait and Dubai), and our fair city isn't immune to their charms.

Today, in honor of Valentine's Day, the purveyor of sugary treats offers a sweet alternative to chocolate and roses: a heart-shaped doughnut for just 99 cents. Krispy Kreme's Valentine's Day doughnut is drizzled with white icing and topped with red and pink sprinkles. Purchase two dozen of them today and you'll receive 12 Valentine's Day cards, each of which includes a certificate for a free doughnut.

You'll find these little puffs of pastry heaven at two Seattle locations, Sodo and North Seattle, and on the Eastside in Issaquah.
