Romantic 4 day Getaway, First time in Seattle!
Hello All! I am looking for suggestions for the best romantic restaurants to go along with romantic things to do for a 4 day weekend getaway. I will be staying downtown and I would prefer things in short walking or short taxi cab ride to. Thanks. Jimmy

Post a commentLa Fontana Siciliana is very romantic. http://www.lafontanasiciliana.com/index.htm
Located on 2nd and Blanchard. Delicious authentic Italian food.
Also nothing beats a moonlight ferry ride back and forth to Bainbridge Island or Bremerton. If it's good weather the view coming back with the city all lit up is amazing.
Argosy also some sunset dinner cruises that combine your romantic dinner and a city view. http://www.argosycruises.com/
Have a good time!
Gas Works Park at night is a bit of must. It's a killer view.
My boyfriend and I went sailing this past Monday. It is so much fun and romantic, especially if you take the sunset sail (Which is only $40 per person for 2.5 hours). You're allowed to bring your own food and alcohol.

As for restaurants, I would recommend Tavolata, Crush, and Shiro's (Though it's not romantic, their sushi is the best in town. Go early at 5pm to get a seat at the bar.)
For romantic restaurants, I'm a fan of Chez Shea at Pike Place Market.
Here are some more romantic restaurant ideas.
I agree about La Fontana, but another great place - very romantic - is Entre Nous on Stewart near 2nd (www.entrenousseattle.com/ ) It's tiny - 8 tables and the bar, so make reservations. You can sit close and nibble on delightful, rich French cuisine served tapas-style (small shareable plates) with some great wine. The restaurant is right near the Seattle Art Museum, Benaroya Hall (symphony) and The Triple Door (music/cocktail venue beneath The Wild Ginger restaurant - also very good with a satay bar). North of downtown (still walkable) is the museum's outdoor sculpture park (http://www.seattleartmuseum.org/visit/OSP/)stroll through there and then walk down to the Bell Street Diner (if it's nice out) and have a bite and/or a drink at one of their outside tables. If it's raining, then head into the Edgewater for your refreshment. For a third, still "walkable from downtown" neighborhood, check out Belltown. There are numerous clubs - it's that kind of neighborhood - but there are some off-beat places as well. In fact, if you want to take in a movie, head to The Big Picture (http://www.thebigpicture.net/movies/). It's a boutique theater, comfy seats, full bar - popcorn in veuve cliquot buckets. It's an event venue downstairs from a fabulous and $$$$$ restaurant called El Gaucho (worth every calorie and dollar). The layout of The Big Picture is such that there's a beautiful bar, lots of little romantic seating areas, and a small, comfortable theater. It's a very romantic date place.
