Forums

Welcome to the Downtown forum

Hey, thanks for stopping by the NWsource forum, where the folks are friendly, the conversation is lively and the drinks are cheap. Oops, sorry, wrong place.

Nonetheless, just like a good local watering hole, this forum is a good spot to meet other Seattleites, share ideas and opinions, recommend or defend your favorites and generally hold forth about whatever's on your mind.

There's no bouncer around here, and we don't require shoes or shirt to enter, but there are a couple of rules: One, don't be mean. Two, don't post ads. We've got Classifieds for that. If you have any questions about what's OK and what isn't, check out our Terms of Service.

We'll drop in occasionally to see how you're doing, and if you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. We'll do whatever we can to help. Cheers!

I just found a cool new store in Westlake Center called Bad Reputation. It was Awesome!! Its all Ed Hardy stuff, I scored a Ed Hardy tank top and a hat. Finally something really cool in Seattle.

I don't live in Seattle, but I was born there on Dec. 7,1947. I live in Idaho now, but I go back to Seattle every chance I get. i use to hang out down at the Pike Street Market on weekends, and had friends who worked there for summer jobs, this was in the late 60's, when I was in my late teens. I loved hanging around the market and just watching the people and I loved the food down there, especially sea food. I miss the smell of the Sound and the Market Place. Here in Idano we have to go to Albertson's for our sea food. But Seattle is in my heart. I go on the net and read the Seattle Times just to get the feel of my home town which I greatly miss.

I've considered moving to Seattle over a dozen years ago, although I'd never visited. A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit for a week on business. I'm smitten with the city and the beauty surrounding it!!! Mountains, water, city living and cool temperatures! Downtown is full of life. I've lived on the east coast my entire life...now I may have to consider pulling up roots. The walkability of the city is great and I loved the market. I'm making plans for another visit!!!
