Is your neighborhood the real deal? Tell us what you love about Fremont

As part of our focus on Seattle neighborhoods and our Neighborhood Deals promotion, we've been asking some folks what they love about Fremont. Some love Horseshoe, others mention Canal Street Coffee.

What about you? What do you care about in this neighborhood, and what would you like to be preserved or improved for the future?

Do you have special photos of your favorite spots? Send them to us and we'll post them in our Fremont photo gallery. Want to explore more? Visit our Fremont neighborhood page.

Paseo, Lenin, hills, record stores, Thai food galore, drinkn' holes a-plenty, coffee here, coffee there, coffee everywhere! Oh yea, Fremont Solstice Parade. 'Nuff said.

Fremont is no longer a neighborhood but an upscale shopping mall. You'll need lots of dough to shop at the PCC and it's so thrilling to have an expensive vegan bakery too. There is no park, no bank and no drugstore, unless you count the PCC but the big chain coffee houses are there, so you can be sure to get your very expensive coffee drink before you go to work each day. Traffic has become a nightmare and somehow they forgot how to operate the bridge. The theater closed a couple of years ago but there are plenty of pubs with raucous people spilling out onto the sidewalks especially in the summer. Watch out for the dogs and bicyclists.
