A quick drive from Penticton, British Columbia, Apex is spread out over the two faces of Beaconsfield Mountain, which reaches an elevation of 7,187 feet. A new detachable quad lift, aptly named Quickdraw, transports snowriders to the peak for spectacular views of four different mountain ranges, as well as nearly five percent of the entire province of British Columbia. The Monashee Mountains lie to the east, the Cascades to the south, the Cathedrals to the southwest, and the British Columbia Coast Range to the west. A combination of good service and great scenery, it's no wonder Ski Canada recently called Apex "Canada's Best Small Destination Resort."
