For years, the Northgate outpost of Gene Juarez Salons & Spas has toiled in the shadows of the chain's more polished locations in downtown Seattle and Bellevue. That's about to change with the opening of a bigger, prettier salon and spa at the North Seattle mall, which is currently undergoing a massive makeover. The new salon and spa will open Nov. 5.
Gene Juarez Northgate added 1,000 square feet (for a total of 7,500) and completely redesigned the salon's interior, giving it a more modern look in addition to eye-pleasing touch-ups like fireplaces and hand-blown glass chandeliers. Spa enhancements include a private pedicure suite and six treatment rooms for skin care and massage.
If you're feeling envious of the salon's new look, stop by and freshen up your own appearance. More space means more new services, including the Aroma Peptide Age Defying Facial, a Botox alternative that uses biopeptides to relax and soften wrinkles.
