Fancy footwear, trendy trunks at Illi
Get metrosexual with shoes by George Esquivel and swim trunks by Dulce de Leche

We can only assume that Illi owner Janelle Lancaster was so inspired by Tim Gunn's recent visit to Seattle that she felt compelled to craft a metrosexual-friendly fashion event just for the boys. (The "Project Runway" style guru was in town promoting his book, "Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style.")
The Illi event for men (and their significant others) will feature custom-crafted shoes from hipster cobbler George Esquivel, whose kicks have been spotted on everyone from Kevin Costner to members of punk band Social Distortion. Esquivel's custom footwear will run you anywhere from $650 to $2,500 a pair for exotic skins. And what better complement to your custom loafers than high-fashion swim trunks from Colombian designers Dulce de Leche, also on display for the evening. No word if there will be male models sporting the swim trunks.
Attendees will receive 10 percent off all items (including custom orders for Esquivel's handiwork), and for every $250 you spend, you'll receive a $25 gift card.
Showing that she understands her target market, Lancaster has ensured that the beverage of choice for the evening will be nothing less than beer tapped out of a pony keg. I can almost hear Tim Gunn's head exploding.
