Fun is in the cards at A Muse

A MUSE

Flex your creative muscle this weekend with a full day of card-making classes at A Muse.

The crafty Greenwood shop, which celebrates its anniversary next month, is the retail arm of A Muse Artstamps, a local company that specializes in stamps for scrapbookers and crafters. In addition to offering a wide selection of stamps, the year-old shop helps wannabe Hallmarkers create their own cards at the Art Bar, a fully stocked craft center.

For those in need of a little direction, three card-making lessons will be offered Sept. 29. Each class is $27 and includes paper, supplies and embellishments to make six cards. At "Glimmer, Twinkle and Shine" (9-11 a.m.), use glitter and stickers to create sparkly holiday cards. "A Colorful Christmas" (11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.) will inspire you to create holiday cards using original color combinations. "Send a Smile" (2-4 p.m.) offers up simple, happy cards to send to your pals all year 'round.

Can't make it this weekend? A Muse will celebrate its anniversary Oct. 6 (which is also World Card Making Day) with a special make-and-take project, plus prizes, discounts and gift bags.

Amuse is at 8544 Greenwood Ave. N.; 877-783-4882. Visit the store online at www.amuseartstamps.com.
