Make time for worldly pals with Knowhere Clocks
These clever clocks can keep track of up to eight time zones

I have a cousin who spends considerable time in Kazakhstan, a niece who lives on an organic chocolate farm in Costa Rica and a dear friend who resides steps from the Hague. Keeping track of time zones in order to avoid the poorly timed 2 a.m. phone call is nearly impossible.
Luckily, San Francisco designer Peter Stathis understands my conundrum. He's developed Knowhere Clocks ($79), clever 24-hour clocks with multiple hands to keep track of up to eight time zones.
In lieu of ho-hum hands, the Cosmos clock features eight unique landmarks: The Eiffel Tower guides you to Parisian time, Christ the Redeemer to Rio de Janeiro, the Statue of Liberty to New York City... you get the idea. Perfect for staying close to your significant others, the bright pink You&Me clock includes two hands preprinted with "you" and "me," plus an additional six blank hands to be labeled with names of your choosing.
Knowhere Clocks have received numerous design kudos, including props from the Industrial Designers Society of America. Distributed under the Artecnica label, they reflect the Los Angeles houseware company's focus on quirky, design-forward products. Locally, they are available at South Lake Union home furnishings shop Velocity Art and Design.
