Here's news for the Croc-hound in your house. Several weeks ago, the U-Village store Kid's Club became a collection point for SolesUnited. SolesUnited collects worn Crocs, recycles them into new footwear, then distributes the shoes to needy people worldwide.

You can take your too-small Crocs (kid or adult-sized) down to Kid's Club during open hours. Staff collect Crocs in a bag, then ship them off to SolesUnited.

And if the kids need a new pair, Kid's Club has Crocs in stock. Pick out vivid orange, green, pink, lavender or coral traditional Crocs, black mary janes or blended peach/orange, green/blue sandals.

Are your kids as disturbingly obsessed with Crocs as mine? Got a tip on how to reconcile Croc-shod little feet with Seattle's bark-chip playgrounds? Can't wait for the trend to fade?
