"As a fashion designer, sometimes I would get tired of the constantly changing trends of ready-to-wear and wanted to escape into the pajama world," Boyd says.

And that's exactly what she's done, busily filling online orders from her home in Ballard for lace-trimmed chemises ($48), low-rise hipsters ($28) and flouncy panties ($21) in Tencel cotton and lightweight jersey.
