Little Kids, Big City
While at Sugarlump, a childrens' consignment shop in Madison Valley, a couple of days ago, I found what I think is the perfect jacket for little ones in Seattle. This little rain coat from GO!Globo looks common enough, but it features a post-consumer recycled plastic fleece lining, made from old PET bottles. More exciting for the user is the fact that it folds into itself to become a handy little backpack, so mom and dad aren't stuck carrying the thing when the weather warms up.

I'll admit up front, bras weren't on my list of gear to review. After hearing from several female readers wanting more information, though, we sent out a team of women to check out the latest offerings. What they found is that, just like the women who wear them, not all bras are created equal. A trio of testers took the challenge to find the perfect bra for outdoors women. What they found is that there isn't a "perfect bra" since every woman is a unique individual, with different body shape and characteristics, and with different preferences and comfort needs.

They have yet to fail a test. His clothing is FDA-approved to provide all-day UVA and UVB sun protection. It's a quality that has helped his Everett-based business, established in 1992, remain a leader in the niche industry. Sun sensitive shoppers can also find protective gear at REI and Patagonia, but if you're visiting the dermatologist, it's Hughes' catalogue that you'll find on the counter.

There's something about shopping for a man that can send even an expert shopper into a tizzy. If you're thinking a) tie, b) aftershave or c) holiday sweater (aka snowflakes and reindeer), cross them off your list. He'll thank you for coming up with something just a smidge more unique.
