There is a group on Facebook called "I Don't Care How Comfortable Crocs Are, You Look Like A Dumbass." There are 863,583 members. This hurts my feelings a little, because I am an avid Croc wearer, as is my husband and my little girl. They're perfect for gardening and for slipping on to run to the store. And darn it, they are comfortable.

The new Ballard shoe store functions not only as a temple to sneakers, but also a gallery for awesome art and a showcase for local music.

Leather accessories from Ellen Verbeek are hard to come by even in New York, but the tiny Fremont shop Lambs Ear boasts a selection of shoes and bags from the Belgian designer -- a favorite of Parisian boutiques.

At barely 5 feet 5 inches tall, I usually look for a little lift from my footwear. But as the temperature cools, my cozy leggings and tunic go into heavy rotation, and since nothing looks better with this combination than sweet black flats, I’m willing to overlook my height woes.

We can only assume that Illi owner Janelle Lancaster was so inspired by Tim Gunn (http://www.bravotv.com/Project_Runway/bio/heidi_and_tim/Tim_Gunn)’s recent visit to Seattle that she felt compelled to craft a metrosexual-friendly fashion event just for the boys. (The “Project Runway” style guru was in town promoting his book, “Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style.”)
